About Lawns Hotel

The Lawns Hotel is a family owned and run hotel since 1976.

Gregory Nikitas of Greek-Cypriot origin, was the first in the family to manage this historical hotel during a time where reservations were made by postal letters, a year in advance. Confirmations of bookings would take months to be received.

In 1996 his son Antony Nikitas took over management and set out to make the many necessary changes to a very old hotel. With a lot of hard work, he succeeded in bringing The Lawns Hotel to a level that showed colonial beauty and at the same time, the much-needed comfort.

20 years later, in 2016, Antony’s niece Krisha Nikitas along with her husband Alessandro Scarcia and their 2 young daughters, which then became 3 daughters, moved to Lushoto to continue making The Lawns Hotel great.

Krisha and Alessandro and continuously making changes to ensure that our guests get the experience of staying in a colonial hotel combined with modern comforts.
